With age comes issues such as illness, dependency, and limited mobility. This can lead to depression, changes in appetite, and a decline in well-being. Many times individuals and their families must decide between buying food or paying for other necessities, such as housing, utilities, or medical care. For these reasons, GCM was created to ensure that our neighbors will be taken care of to the best of our ability by providing food, clothing and emotional/Spiritual support.

Meals on Wheels

This service offers freshly prepared, nutritious, hot meals every weekday. Our Meals on Wheels program offers freshly prepared hot meals to about 300 clients Monday through Friday.

At GCM, our mission is to ensure that no senior or disabled person in the Greater Greer community is hungry.

Do you know someone who would benefit from having a hot meal delivered? We would love to help our neighbors that have a medical condition preventing them from cooking a hot meal for themselves. GCM MOW is perfect for homebound seniors, those with mental or physical disabilities, and those recovering from an illness or an accident. We can assist those who need services temporarily.

If you or someone you know would like to receive MOW, please complete the MOW Referral here.

Our volunteers are a vital part of what we do. Throughout the year, hundreds of volunteers dedicate a few hours of their day to drive one of the 21 routes in the Greater Greer area to deliver meals. We consistently need substitute drivers. Contact GCM’s MOW Coordinator Karen Roughton to become a volunteer driver TODAY!

For more information, contact MOW Coordinator, Karen Roughton to nominate someone for MOW or to volunteer. Karen can be reached at 864-879-2254  or by email

GCM’s MOW clients with cats, dogs, or birds are provided pet food weekly to make sure that they are not sharing their meals with their pets.

Donations of pet food are accepted at the ministry Monday through Thursday 8am-4pm and Fridays 8am-2pm.
