Meals on Wheels

Our Meals on Wheels program offers freshly prepared hot meals to about 300 clients Monday through Friday. At GCM, we believe that “no senior adult or disabled person of the Greater Greer area will go hungry.”

Our volunteers are a vital part of what we do. Throughout the year, hundreds of volunteers dedicate a few hours of their day to drive one of the 21 routes in the Greater Greer area to deliver meals. We consistently need substitute drivers. Fill out the volunteer form to have your name added to our driver team. MOW Coordinator Karen Roughton can be reached at 864-879-2254 or email.

Do you know someone who would benefit from having a hot meal delivered?
To quality for Meals on Wheels, you must be screened, interviewed and:
– be immobile, homebound or bedfast.
– mentally or physically incapacitated.
– require no special diet.
– have a doctor’s referral.

Exceptions to these requirements will be approved by the Interview and Referral Committee.
MOW also assists those who are in need of our services temporarily.

Pet Food Donations

Clients with cats, dogs, or birds are provided pet food as needed to make sure that they are not sharing their meal with their pet. Donations of pet food are accepted at the ministry Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The following businesses are also pet food drop-off locations:
